Severe back & neck spasms

I've been getting these since I was about 18....usually every year I get severe pains where I am practically hunched over and the only thing that will help me is to take a Flexeril at night before bed.

Anyone else go through this? What can I do to prevent the cramping? It's usually a reaction to stress (ex. being super busy at work).

I get them from my neck all the way up due to 7 herniated discs and fracturing my back---
problem is--u get one that doesn't work itself out it keeps moving up and you keep spasming.
I find the only thing that works is SOMA
Flexeril does nada.
Hot baths...if u have a jacuzzi...even better.
get a good pillow or a temperpedic one considering its in your neck.
You can always try injections but..they are kind of scary.
Have you gone to a pain management doc?

Have you been diagnosed with any disc issue or other issue?

What you can do:

- proper posture at work (no twisting of body, wear a headset to talk on the phone, do not shrug your shoulders, etc...)
- proper posture in bed while sleeping
- warm bath with Epson salts

i hve them just offically got it diagnosed...
i get spasms and a pinched nerve
its horrible pain where you want to lay on a hard floor and cry its so bad..

flexeril does nothing i take 10 mg 4 times a day and i feel not one percecnt better taking the pills... only thing that masks the pain is a vicodon but i know its bad to take b/c then ill hurt myself more thinking im ok
