Re: pepper steak
I dont really have a recipe I just kinda wing it! I buy the pepper steak strips and I marinate it in a chinese marinade. I like a few different kinds. Soy vay is my fav. but i cant find that one anymore. The I saute it with the peppers & onions and add more marinade as needed. I just also tried one from Trader Joes.....I think it was Chinese 5 spice...? It was soooo good! I serve over rice! YUM....now I want this!

Thanks, I'm going to have to try it that way. Tthe way I usually make it is totally different. I flour the pepper steak then cook it in a little oil on top of the stove then add peppers, onions and some of the powder onion (that you can make soup or dip with) and then I simmer for 45mins. When done I put over rice and add chow mein noodles. ( I figured I would share )

Re: pepper steak
I have a super easy recipe....
2 peppers cut into strips 1 onion cut up 2lbs of steak, cut into strips 1 packet of mccormick brown gravy 1 Tbsp soy sauce 1 Cup of water a spray of olive oil
Mix the gray mix, the water and the soy sauce together and let it sit.
Spray a saute pan that has a lid with the olive oil, and fry the steak strips on medium heat until browned (approx. 5 minutes).
Add the peppers, onions, and gravy/soy mixture. Mix everything around thouroughly. Bring to a gentle boil, and then lower to a simmer and cover. let it cook for approx 10 minutes...at that time the peppers are still firm, I like them a little more wilted, so I let it simmer for a little longer...
serve over rice.
