28 weeks preganant

Hi girls not been on here for a long time... Been on bed rest since my 20 week visit.. Going insane staying at home and not being able to do much.. I can not even clean my owne house or start doing stuff to set up the babies room... How did you mothes r handle this if you had to go on bed rest yourself.. ??? I know its all well worth it at the end but yet so fustrating.. I am suppose to have my baby shower this weekend and don't know what to do ... Do I go and take it easy or just stay home.... What do you girls suggest.. The guest of honor will not be there.....

I'm sorry to hear that. I went on bed rest at 24 weeks, and at 35 weeks I took myself off of bed rest. That last week I did a lot (I went into labor at 36 weeks). Our families and my wonderful DH did everything - cooked, cleaned, etc. - we had even just moved into our house only 4 months before I was put on bed rest, so even things like painting and ordering furniture still had to be done!) I even stayed with my parents for a month or so since we were having our downstairs bathroom redone.

It goes by VERY quickly and before you know it your babies will be here. Can you order some scrapbooking things online? I learned to crochet on bed rest, read a lot of books, watched a ton of TVs and movies, and prepared for the babies.

I did go to my shower (29 weeks I think) - my guests came up to me as I sat in a chair. There was also one of those lawn chairs that lay flat there, which I laid down in, while my gifts were being opened. I did walk around for a quick few minutes to say Hi to everyone b/c I felt bad.

why are u on bedrest again?

ask the doctor..I cannot imagine you cannot go for one day...
worse comes to worse--get a wheelchair from a hospice---get wheeled out--sit in the car---put back in the chair and wheeled in...
same thing as you getting up and going to the potty at home I think...
but ask the doc!!!!!!!

I went on Bed rest because my fluid is low on one of the sacs , and also now my cervix lining is starting to get thinner than it should and the docters think I may go into preterm labor.
