First Dr. app't...what should I expect...updated

Hello all, first of all, thank you for all your good wishes, you all made me feel better. I am just a basket of nerves, even had to call in sick. What should I expect today from Dr. visit - will they give me another preg. test - is it too early for sonogram?

they say I am 5 weeks preg. there is no anxiety meds safe for preg. - I cried right there in the office and I am ok now. sonogramp will be done @ 8 weeks, but he said it is still very early to see anything

My first appt, they just weighed me, gave me an exam, urine test. No sonogram, I went the following week for my sonogram.

I had bleeding before my first appt, so I am not sure if they will do the same for you, that they did for me.

Sonogram, weight, urine, ALOT of blood tests, plus meeting with the OB to ask any questions and also got tons of goodies

Sono-It really depends on the dr and how far along you are. My dr didn't do a sono til i was 7 weeks. Lots of bloodwork, and internal exam, weight, and family history.

I was 5 weeks when I had my first appointment. I did a ton of paperwork for family history, they did weight, blood pressure and an internal. The OB also spent alot of time talking to us and answering questions. They wanted urine but I couldn't give it to them I had my first sono at 7w4d when we were able to see the heartbeat.
