Bed rest
hi its been a while since i have posted, I am 29.5 weeks now and have had a wonderful pregnancy until last week. i started contractions and was in the hosipital for a few days and am now on bed rest. i have all of this anxiety about work, getting the house ready for the babies, keeping the babies inside as long as possible and all of the extra work DH has to do b.c of my condition. i wold love to be home if i were allowed to do anything. its really hard to just sit and lay down when i have always been such an active person! any advice from teh BTDT moms?

Re: Bed rest
I really have no advice since I wasn't on complete bedrest - but I can totally understand - I was told to take it easy and that was hard for me! But, just know that - you are resting for the sake of your babies - you want them in there as long as possible - so get some movies, read a good book, catch up on any letters or phone calls that you haven't had the time for, do your nails.

Re: Bed rest
I was put on bed rest at 24 weeks - I took myself off at 35 weeks (to get some things done) and went into labor the next week.
My family and wonderful DH did everything - and I would make a small trip here and there to get things done (5 minutes to go into Behr's and order furniture), etc.
Take it easy and serious because you really could go into labor early. I felt at 35 weeks if they were born then they would be ok. Did they give you an FFN test or will they continue to measure your cervix?

Re: Bed rest
im on modified bed rest not complete. i get regular FFns and they have all been negative. I also get regular cervical lenghts. all have been good. i was at a good length and then i went away on vacation and i came back and my cervicx got longer! it was great. then 3 weeks later ( now) its stilllonger then before i went away. im not dialiting at all so all of this is good news. i was just having a ton of contractions really close together.. so i have to rest and try to keep these babies inside as long as possible.

Re: Bed rest
Hang in there M.. we will get past it together.. coming from someone who went on bed rest at 24 weeks.. Take it easy and just enjoy your free time to gather your thoughts and agendas.. Trust me anxiety gets the best of you.. We have so much to do to prepare and we feel helpless.. You do what you can and things will fall in place... Speak soon.... Take care!
