OB/GYN - recommendation for East Meadow/GC/Hicksville area

ETA: Changed topic - now just looking for recommendations with low wait room times, low appointment wait times, friendly staff, and Dr's who listen to their patients concerns and problems.

TIA again !! Hoping to get a few more responces this way !!

Has anyone been to either of these practices?

The Dr's listed for University Plaza OB/GYN are - Bernasko, Cafano, Garrido, Kreiner, Leris, Putterman, Rocnelson, Rosenberg, Scavo, Smith-Levittin & Vhora.

The Dr's listed for Queens - LI Medical Group (350 south broadway) are O'Connor, Kohan, Royo & Takacs.

Any opinions on either practice (or other's in the GC / East Meadow / Hicksville area??)

I used to see Dr Scavo at University Plaza. She is sooo sweet! I stopped going there though because I could not stand the wait. It took FOREVER to get an appointment- and the wait in the waiting room was long also.

I ended up going to Dr Hanauer on Old Country Rd in Garden City. I LOVE her! There are alot of girls on here that go to her. I saw her throughout my whole pregnancy and she is absolutely wonderful!

Thank you ! I definatly don't want a long wait, that is one of the reasons I am leaving where I am now. I usually have to bring my 9yo DD with me and she sits in the waiting room while I am in the exam room. My current dr. takes FOREVER to get in the exam room (40 minutes last time) and I don't want to leave her out there like that. Also, he's just a GYN not OB anymore so I am going to have to change eventually anyway.

I see Dr. Miller at University Plaza, and I totally agree with the previous poster about the waiting room time, and the time it took to get an appointment.

Try Northern Ob & Gyno 516-365-6100 I love all the doctors there. I go to Cooperman but when I was pregnant, I saw all of them and they are great. As a matter of fact, one of them, Dr. Krim was in Newsday yesterday for being one of the best gynos on Long Island. They are located right off the northern state on new Hyde park road.

I saw Dr. Putterman too. The wait time was a lot which is fine b/c I have never been to a Dr. that doesn't have a long wait time, but I really didn't like how 1. When I was on the pill she told me I only had to come back after 1 year. For years drs. told me they have to monitor you every 6 months when on the pill and 2. I felt like she was talking to me and reciting out of a textbook. Her bedside personality is not so great! I see Dr. Hanauer too and love her. I have to wait there sometimes when it is hectic but she is awesome!

I go to Garden City OB-GYN on Stewart Avenue (Plancher/Sherwin), and rarely wait more than 10 minutes.
