Re: san francisco
definitely do the alcatraz tour in san fran. definitely go see the crooked street, definitely go to ghiradelli square.
In Napa- tons of wineries to go visit. we did the napa valley wine tour and loved it.. we also had a car, so two days we drove around..

Re: san francisco
I responded to a Napa thread about two weeks ago with the below response...
I am back from Sonoma and wanted to let you know how my trip went. It was WONDERFUL!!! You are going to have the best time.
We stayed at the Worldmark Windsor which is a time share resort, we went with friends and had a two bedroom condo, with two bathrooms, full kitchen, laundry, living room, fireplace and balcony. It was awesome!
We hit a ton of wineries and the favorites were:
Hartford Ridge Preston (organic) Frog's Leap (organic) Bella (wine tasting in caves, it was great) Mumm's Napa (for champagne lovers)
We also had dinner at Bouchon in Napa, it was OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend it.
We went on a hot air ballon, with Up and Away and really enjoyed it.
We also spent a day in San Fransisco. We went to Alcatraz, which was really interesting and then just did touristy things like Fisherman's Wharf, Twin Peaks, Palace of Fine Arts and Ghirardelli.
Northern California is so beautiful, we had an amazing time. I hope you do too!!
HTH!!!!
