cupcake questions...

.....I'm not much of a baker, but I need to make cupcakes for Sunday...how far ahead can I make them and does anyone have any good cupcake or frosting recipes! TIA!

Honestly Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines Mixes work really well and are a lot easier.

ETA If they are for Sunday they can definately be made on Sat.

The BEST ones that I've made (and still make) are the Dunkin Hines ones. (Here's a pic of the box). You can do them the night before. Just make sure to let them cool before icing them. I use the dark chocolate icing to ice them.

Definitely agree that the Duncan Hines are the best!!!
You could make them the night before and like PP said make sure they have cooled before icing.

Go to Williams-Sonoma...Get "Sprinkles" cupcakes- they are the best ever!!!
Make them a day ahead at most- you HAVE to make the homemade frosting too- it's amazing (I suggest the chocolate).Chat Icon
