Niagra Falls--where to stay?

My parents are planning a trip to Niagra Falls in August.

Please recommend a nice place to stay--does not have to be really elaborate--a clean, nice hotel is fine. They checked the Sheraton but the prices seemed really high. They would like to be close to where the Casino is.

Please give me ideas--we see there are lots of hotels, but would like referrals of where you stayed....Canada or NY--either is fine...

stay in canada much better, don't remember where the casino is but we stayed at the embasst hotel it was nice, no complaints

We stayed at the Embassy Hotel. It was a great price, clean and easily accessible to all attractions.

Thanks for the recommendations--but the rooms came to 327 a night!

stay on the canada side, NY side isn't that nice. the dollar isn't as strong anymore, but just a few years ago it wasn't that expensive. we stayed at the raddison once and another time at monolta towers. they were both great. we also stayed at the marriot, but they have since built another hotel directly in front of it, so the views stink from there now.

We stayed at the Sheraton on the Falls on the Canada side. It was a nice hotel and not too pricey. And best of all you can get to the Casino from inside the hotel!
