Panty lines at the gym?
I know, what a question.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one with panty lines showing!! I wear thongs all day but can't even think of working out in one so I wear granny panties when I work out! Is that weird? I never noticed panty lines on anyone except myself! I can't believe this is bothering me lately. I guess it's because there are mothers of my students at this gym...and I work in a haughty-taughty district.
So...what do you wear?

Re: Panty lines at the gym?
I cannot workout in thongs!
I have panty lines, but I am also the only one in every class with them!
once I tried to go to a class commando...did not work out well at all.
boyshorts ride up on me...so panty lines it is.
and, I can only workout in black. my a$$ sweats sooooo much...if I wear any color, I look like I peed.

Re: Panty lines at the gym?
I've been going commando and I love it!!!! No worrying about my undies falling down or panty lines!
I saw someone from my job in the locker room and I had on granny panties and I was mortified. So, now I don't wear any

Re: Panty lines at the gym?
i admit it, i wear thongs. i don't like them, but commando would feel too strange and i'm too self-conscious about panty lines - they make my butt look bigger than it already is!

Re: Panty lines at the gym?
Do people really worry about panty lines at the gym? I go to the gym on a regular basis, and I can honestly say that:
a) I've never checked out other womens' rear ends to see if they had panty lines, and
b) I'm there to work out, not to impress anyone. My underwear is the furthest thing from my mind! My hair's a mess, I don't wear any makeup, and I wear whatever's comfortable.
Gosh...maybe there's a whole gym subculture that I have no idea about???

Re: Panty lines at the gym?
I usually wear track shorts that have "built in" underwear. So I guess technically I go commando as well. Thongs are way too uncomfortable to work out in, but my sister swears by them.

I never cared- until I started to see parents of my students at the gym! And I teach in snobby-country-club-livingville! And they always look so good!

Re: Panty lines at the gym?
I wear track shorts but I wear thongs...I wear thongs on all my runs even the marathon. I think I would feel too naked without it.
I never notice what people are wearing at the gym...I don't care...im just impressed you are there and working hard!!

Re: Panty lines at the gym?
I noticed them on many women at the gym. I ONLY wear thongs to gym bc i think in tight yoga type pants, panty lines look just AWFUL

Re: Panty lines at the gym?
Tara you are hilarious! Can't wait to see you next month
As far as thongs are concerned I wear them to the gym because I actually think they are more comfortable then wearing grannies I've never noticed pantylines on other woman. I'll take an informal survey tomorrow and let you know

Re: Panty lines at the gym?
I wear thongs as well, but when I work out I could care less how I look, because the sweatier and messier I get the better I feel From time to time I see those who's pants seem to sit too low, their shirts too short and their thongs hanging out of their pants practically to the crack of their @ss. IMO that is worse than panty lines

Re: Panty lines at the gym?
I stay in my thong, though I don't think VPL would bother me because I'm more embarrassed to be seen sweaty and sans makeup so once I overcame that, my gym look never bothered me

I totally agree with you. Im not looking to "impress" anyone when I work out. That is why I joined a smaller gym rather than a Golds or World gym because I didnt want to have to get all "dolled-up" to work out!!

Re: Panty lines at the gym?
It's not a matter of "impressing" people, it's a matter of feeling comfortable. And some people don't feel comfy knowing that everyone can see their panty lines. For me, I've been going commando because I get less weggies, I don't have to worry about any lines or anything at all. It's not about me caring if people see the lines, its' about me not being comfortable with the lines showing.
To each his own.

Re: Panty lines at the gym?
OK Tara! I did an informal survey of panty-lines (meaning I was checking out chicks asses) over the last 2 days and this is what i found. This was at the Crunch Gym on 59th street and 2nd Ave.
1- You would never notice the pant-lines unless you look for them!
2- It was off peak hours and I counted 2 panty-lines on women. One was around 30 and the other probably closer to 60. The gym was pretty quiet so I'd be curious to see how many panty-lines I could find at say 6:00pm.
