I didn't eat on the City walk, but I love Universal. Lots of great rides like Jaws which is always fun. Islands of Adventure has GREATEST rides though(it was my DH's favorite park) so be sure to check it out. If you like coasters, make sure you go on the Hulk. It's the BEST! Have fun. Chat Icon

Re: Universal Studios.. Orlando

Sure!! Other rides are good there too, like Spiderman and Jurassic Park, and Dueling Dragons is a great coaster too (2 coasters really).

I'm not even a big coaster person usually but I got so into when we were there that we ended up on Hulk and Dueling Dragons like 4 times. You're going to love it! Chat Icon

Re: Universal Studios.. Orlando

We went in October and the lines really weren't bad for the coasters but there was still a bit of a wait for the other rides (I guess since everyone goes on them). Since you're going in July and it's definitely going to be more crowded, the FastPass might be a good idea. It's always nice to cut the line. Chat Icon

Re: Universal Studios.. Orlando

We went in Feb., and we have also been a few times before. We ate in the chain restaurants on the City Walk--there's a Margaritaville, an NBA restaurant, and an Italian place that is good (there are others too).

We just did lunch at any of the little places inside, but did dinner at City Walk. Have fun! When we went it was overcast and there were no lines at all--it was perfect!

Our favorite ride is Men in Black--you get an individual score based on how many aliens you shoot, and DH and I kept trying to beat each other

If you or your DH feels adventurous, try out for the Fear Factor show! DH did it (they choose 6 people from the tryouts) and won, and we won several passes back to Universal!

Here are some pics, but he had a great time, and loved winning in front of thousands of people!

DH and I are going in september, cant wait. We were there a few years ago. Our favorite rides at Islands of adventure are Spiderman, jurassic park, the hulk.

At Universal our favorites are the Mummy, I enjoyed the shrek ride. Plius all the other rides previous posters have mentioned.

There is a restaurant called Bahama Breeze

http://www.bahamabreeze.com

It is a few minutes from the park but so good.

Re: Universal Studios.. Orlando

We loved Universal (both parks!)

We actually ate a Hard Rock at CityWalk and it was probably our favorite meal throughout the whole week (i know, random but really good!)

Mummy was my fav. ride
& DH loved Men in Black----he was like a little kid playing a video game Chat Icon
