im feeling the same way. i was hired as an account manager but dont get the room to make decisions on my own which is very frustrating. ive been an account manager in the past, so i think its that its this particular company thats not feeling right for me. i'm going to give it 3 months and then see how i feel then. im hoping that it gets better.

I usually give the job 3 months similar to the probation period. But i am lucky that I never have had to do that and enjoy most of my jobs.

I ususally know right away. I guess the right thing to do is wait out the 3 month probabtion period. I am a true beleiver in going with you gut feeling, if it is not somethng you are loving right away it may not be someting you will ever like.

My last job I knew right away, but I stuck it out because the benefits/flexibility were really good. But it scarred me for life. I would try to give it three months.

Same here.....Except for the flexibility. But my benefits were paid fully but i was miserable there. I was there for a year. I am kinda glad i waited cuz i am really happy where i am now, thanks to a friend of mine. But i would give it like 3 months. Don't let yourself get really miserable that it will effect your life at home. Thats what happened to me and DH and i argued more and i was just so unhappy there.

Thanks girls. July 21st will be three months and although I knew from the start I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. I'm praying to tell them that the first week of Aug. will be my last week.

The job I had before this one...I swear, this is terrible - I knew the first day. I went home and cried. I literally looked for a new job starting that same week. I made a huge mistake taking it...bottom line is you have to be happy. If it's miserable you've got to move on.

i had something similiar happen - third day in I knew I made the wrong choice. I had lost my job and had to take the first offer - I really did think I would love this place but I was wrong. On my first day at this place, I got another offer, which I turned down. That's how sure I was. But then something happened and I came home crying and had a panic attack that i made the wrong choice. fortunately i was able to salvage the offer i turned down - it's where I am now and I am SO happy. I'm very lucky I was able to save it.
