Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun?
For those of you who have been, which would your recommend and why?
I know there's a new MGM Grand at Foxwoods, but heard it's kinds  , but other than that I don't really know much about either place.

definitely Mohegan. There's more restaurants, more stores and just more things to do IMO. Plus i like the atmosphere better.

ITA 1 million percent! Better atmosphere- better and more restaurants and bars more shopping.
I love it so much there.
And if you are planning to stay over- the hotel at Mohegan is incredible. Blows Foxwoods away!

Mohegan hands down!
but...the rooms can be REALLY expensive if you are plannin to spend the night..I suggest the Microtel Inn & Suites..its like 3 minutes away & very nice & clean!

Oh just wanted to add on that note- that if you can go during the week- they run special package deals that are MUCH better price wise.
I agree that on the weekend or without a deal the rooms are WAY too pricey!

I am in the miniority here.
I LOVE Foxwoods!!!!!!!!
But when we go, we basically JUST go to gamble. Foxwoods is my disneyworld..the happiest place on earth. The second I walk in, I am just happy.
Mohegan Sun confuses me..I never know where I am going and it seems so packed ALL THE TIME.
We stay at foxwoods when we go..usually comp'ed...and their rooms are great.
Just my opinion though.

I like Mohegan Sun better! However, I want to check out the the MGM, so the next time we take a drive out there we will probably go to Foxwoods...

I haven't been to Foxwoods since the MGM upgrade, but I always felt Mohegan was more fun!!!

I've been to both and I liked Mohegan Sun better. We ate at Todd English's restaurant Tuscany. It was amazing!!

We have stayed at both and I DEFINITELY liked MS better - better rooms, food, atmosphere!

I prefer Foxwoods. There were some bad vibes flying around MS last time we were there and we decided to go to Foxwoods. There's no logic to the place and we couldnt find 2 machines together that we liked.

100% true....
I have been to the new MGM Grand and it sucks!!!! The casino is so small you walk around in 5 minutes...(one big square)....the tables and the slots suck....not worth the trip...it is nothing like vegas....MS is so much better!!!!

we'll never go to either ever again - the smoke is so overwhelming.... it's worth the extra 30 minutes to atlantic city.
