fibromyalgia?
I've never posted on this board before (usually posting on pregnancy/parenting board) and I need some help and advice. I had my daughter 5 weeks ago and the past 2 weeks ive had very intense muscle and joint pain.. worse in the morning when I awake. My neck is stiff, shoulders hurt, lower back, knees, elbows and wrists. I went to a walk in clinic a week ago and they didnt know why I had this pain nor the migraine. A few days later I went to the ER about it and they too didnt know why and only found a UTI. I dont think a UTI could cause this excruciating pain. Ive been googling about fibromyalgia and im worried this could be it from all of the symptoms ive read and i have a friend who has it too. Does fibromyalgia just all of a sudden show up one day out of nowhere? How does it come in? Im in so much pain and cant stop taking medicine throughout the day just to function.

Re: fibromyalgia?
My mom has fibromyalgia. its similar to arthritis. with her it didnt just show up one day , she progressively started to feel aches in her legs. I think though that its mainly a leg thing, ( i could be wrong thou)
wanted to add that she has good days & bad days, sometimes she can walk for hours , some , just a block..
there is some herbal med you can take that helps . I can find out what she takes

My MIL has rheumatoid arthritis and has managed it very well for many years. I hope you feel better soon.
