Turkey Meat Balls

Anyone know how to make them. I never made meat balls before. Do they have to be fried because we don't eat fried foods. do we boil them, bake them, what do we put in them? I am so clueless. TIA Chat Icon

Re: Turkey Meat Balls

I made chicken meatballs last night so I am sure it is similar. I made them on the simple size since they were for my son.

I had lb of ground chicken. I added 1 egg, a sprinkle of parsley and garlic powder and mixed it up. Add seasoned breadcrumbs and mix. (I used about 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs--you just have to add little by little til you get the right consistency)

I fried mine, but not in any oil or anything. I guess it was more like cooking them on the stovetop than frying. I just put them in the pan by themselves and let them cook a little to brown the edges. Then I put them in a pot of marinara sauce and let them finish cooking.

I put them in the oven for 20 min at 350 and then drop them into the sauce for a while.

Re: Turkey Meat Balls

I bake mine.

I make them with a ton of seasonings( Salt, Pepper, italian seasoning, Garlic powder, onion powder, Thyme, and a bit of rosemary.....I add one egg and bread crumbs...roll them and cook in a 375-400 degree oven for about 30 minutes...till they are still moist but outside is a little bit crispy .
