Turkey meat recipes???
What do you guys do with ground turkey meat?
I usually make turkey burgers with spinach and feta cheese in them. But I am so tired of that..
Any recipes for something different? Maybe even a meatloaf???? Thanks so much!

Re: Turkey meat recipes???
I use turkey meat for tacos, meatloaf, meatballs, or use it in a meat sauce.

I make turkey meatballs...
I add finely chopped onion, chopped parsley, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, salt, pepper...
I have the actual recipe at home if you need it, but I'm at work now

Re: Turkey meat recipes???
How about making chili. Pretty much anything that I can make with ground beef I make it with turkey! Or how about making a lasagna or stuffed green peppers.

I make everything that I would make with ground beef with turkey. Meatballs, tacos, casseroles, mexican lasagne....the list goes on and on.

Re: Turkey meat recipes???
I don't eat any red meat so the only thing i buy is chicken and turkey meat. I will make Tacos, Turkey meatballs, turkey burgers, sloppy joe with turkey meat, ziti, lasagna. Haven't gotten the guts to try a meatloaf yet with turkey meat. Not so sure how to make a meatloaf, but one day i'll try it.

Re: Turkey meat recipes???
I make a meatloaf. It's eggs, onion, garlic, parm cheese, and BBQ sauce and bread crumbs. If you want the exact recipe, let me know. It's soooo good.

Re: Turkey meat recipes???
I invented a greek-inspired turkey patty
1.3 lbs ground turkey or ground chicken 1/3 cup greek wholemilk yogurt 3T fresh mint, chopped 1 small onion-minced 2 cloves garlic-pressed salt
combine all ingredients other than meat. stir well. Add meat and squish with fingers until encorporated
make patties. fry in EVOO serve with greek salad (tomato chunks, thinly sliced red onion, green pepper, cucumber, good feta, kalamata olives, oregano and evoo.... no lettuce or vinegar!)

Tell me more about these burgers. Is there a recipe? Or do you just throw feta and fresh <frozen?> spinach into the meat?

Re: Turkey meat recipes???
I made baked meatballs the other night and they were delicious! I used 1/2 ground turkey and 1/2 ground beef but you could substitute all turkey and it would be great...here is the recipe:
1.5lbs ground turkey/beef/pork/etc. 5 ounces frozen spinach, thawed and drained thoroughly 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan 1 whole egg 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil 1 1/2 teaspoons dried parsley 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes 1/2 cup bread crumbs, divided
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pork, lamb, ground round, spinach, cheese, egg, basil, parsley, garlic powder, salt, red pepper flakes, and 1/4 cup of the bread crumbs. Using your hands, mix all ingredients until well incorporated. Use immediately or place in refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
Place the remaining 1/4 cup of bread crumbs into a small bowl. Using a scale, weigh meatballs into 1.5-ounce portions and place on a sheet pan. Using your hands, shape the meatballs into rounds, roll in the bread crumbs and place the meatballs in individual, miniature muffin tin cups. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and cooked through.

Re: Turkey meat recipes???
Thanks ladies!
As for what I do..I just throw some salt and pepper, garlic powder..spinach and feta cheese. Mush all together like you would a meatloaf and shape into hamburger patties. I eat them on the plate without bread. Sooo yummy and I am VERY picky!
