Numb hand.
So, I do have a history of carpel tunnel in my right hand, however, lately, my entire hand goes numb and gets stiff when I'm driving or sleeping or if I just put my hand in my lap.  What the heck is going on? Do I call an orthopedist?

I would call a Neurologist .... I think the numbness has to do with the nerves ...

ITA. As someone who's gone through some nerve damage (from a HS injury), you definitely need to see a Neurologist first. They may send you to an orthopedist if it happens to be joint related (like mine was), but it could be something else. The neurologist will be able to figure out exactly where the problem is. They have some neat gadgets that determine right where the "kink" in the nerve is, and will have a pretty good idea of what is causing it.

Thanks, guys. I took your advice and made an appt. with a neurologist. HOPEFULLY, they'll have some answers for me!
