Honestly, I would never really travel outside of the US/Caribbean except for Italy. I have no desire to see other places and I only love Italy because my family is there.
Tilde, i have a question for you? why do you have no desire to see the rest of the world? Yes, I know there is so much to see in the US, but to experience other cultures, food, history... as someone that has traveled through Italy, I am surprised that you have no desire to see the rest of Europe or other continents. Just curious: why do you feel that way?
There is so much I have left to see HERE that I never got to see. When other kids were going to the Grand Canyon or Washington DC - we were saving up to go back to Sicily. There are so many things that DH experienced as a kid, that I missed out on and I want to make up for it. ( I know, boo hoo, summers in Sicily LOL)
For example, I went camping for the first time this month and I LOVED IT!! Everyone I know grew up with experiences like that, but I never did.
Maybe, after having my fill of what THIS country has to offer -I will be more excited and curious to see what else is out there

That's a good point and I think we had a similar upbringing. Luckily though i did get a lot of traveling done within in the US on my own in college and after college. There are some beautiful sights, but it's the culture, language and food and history of other places that gets me to want to travel outside of the US. i like to push my comfort zone when i travel.

I effing HATE DisneyWorld.
If I have to take my kids...we go to DisneyLAND (slightly less offensive)
Can I ask what the reasoning is behind that is? Because a land is smaller than a world,so there is less to hate?  I've only been to the World, & I don't need to go back. I wouldn't imagine the Land to be much different.
I don't really have a desire to go to Vegas, or Egypt, but those are 2 places on my husband's list.
I also have no desire to go anywhere, where I have to stay in a resort the whole time, and can't go out & see the town. I love to see where the people live!
I've never been to Europe, but I could take it it or leave it. If we ever have the money, and my husband wants to go, I'm sure I'd be up for most places but if we never do, I don't think it would bother me at all.

Tilde, don't feel bad, I didn't go camping OR go to Europe! I only flew with my family once, I think because my parents felt obligated to take us to Disney World. We mostly did east caost road trips (Virginia, Pennsylvania, New England, Canada) & visited my family in the Saratoga area.
I went camping with college friends & was so confused as to how everyone else knew howe to put up a tent. I go every year now!

I could do without the Caribbean. Just lying on the beach doesn't appeal to me. I have to do things/sightsee, etc.

California.
I thought Paris a long time ago, but then we went for 3 days, while in Germany, we took the train over...it was worth it to see everything, especially Versailles, but I'll never go back (to Paris).
