Key West. JMO but I was totally unimpressed. I had high hopes because so many people love it, but I was so disappointed. During the day it was one big tourist trap and at night just a bit sketchy. Again, no offense to people who like it, it just wasn't for me. The Upper Keys however, like Big Pine Key, were very pretty and much more relaxing.

I completely agree..I had such high hopes but was very disappointed..no pretty beaches..the snorkeling really stunk and there wasn't much to do during the day. I won't be back.
Oh, and every thing was reallly expensive.Chat Icon

The Domenican Republic, we heard so many great things about it and it was awful.

san juan, PR

the beach wasn't nice
and the hotel we stayed in, El San Juan, was El dump-o

so many people raved about the hotel but i found everyone working there rude and unaccomodating. The room was also old & dirty

Aruba - it was just ok.....very "Americanized" - nothing to do...also the island is very flat and dry.....we were very disappointed..

I also don't want to see Hooters restaurant when I step out of my hotel on a nice tropical island...it looses the appeal for me........

Acapulco, Mexico

We felt it was very dirty and they had small children begging for money on the street.

all i wanted to do was run back on the ship!

Jamaica. We stopped there on our last cruise and everywhere we went was filthy.

this is hard...I guess Amsterdam - I loved the Anne Frank House, but it's small and a bit boring, but I guess the "extra-curricular" activities made it a bit better.

There are tons of little towns in Germany that my host-parents dragged me too - there are only so many "castles" and churches one can see.

and my leader on my Silk Road trip in China dragged us to every Buddha. We joked that it was the trip of 1,000,000 Buddhas - I got to the point where I didn't even want to get off the bus (I guess similar to the churches in Europe)

Sometimes I think it depends on the experiences that you had. The first time I went to Boston, our hotel was under construction and wasn't in a happening location (and it was freezing!). We went back a year later in the summer with another couple and had a kick a$$ time!
