Very early but has anyone had dinner catered for Christmas
We're possibly having as many as 30 people this year for Christmas.
Crazy I know. I definitely can't cook for that many people and was wondering if anyone has had all or part of Christmas dinner catered. I need to plan ahead financially.
Thanks

We have Christmas Eve Catered every year at my Aunt's because she has about 50 people. It just go out of hand trying to cook and people bringing stuff.
She does it a couple of weeks in advance.
Guests bring hour dourves and desserts.

I do and I only have about 13 people
I do make the mashed potatoes, lasagna and a few other things but I get an amazing Pecan crusted Filet Mignon, honey glazed baby carrots, and some other sides from a catering company in Glen Cove called Elegant Affairs.

Getting Christmas dinner catered is sacreligious.
My family started going out for thanksgiving and i've been scarred ever since.
Nah, seriously though - if you need to do this, then go for it! I personally wouldn't do it myself, but can understand why people would.

OMG, so true!!!
No, we only have about 10 people though so it's easy to prep the night before and assemble and cook xmas morning. However, if I had the money to hire, trust me, I would!

Don't know where you live but MIL uses Fairway in Plainview for her holiday dinner catering. She has done Thanksgiving and the jewish holidays but not Christmas . The food is usually very good and the prices are fairly reasonable.

Where do you live? My Aunt does a lot of stuff for Xmas Eve (much to everyone else's dismay) at Primavera in Massapequa .........the food is good, it's just the 'catered' part that seems to get us Italians ..........
