Same. We usually charge ours to get some kind of points and pay it off right away. We would never finance a vacation, I think DH would die before he did that.

Charge then pay it off. We use our salaries and tax money to pay it off. This year was good b/c DH got a raise and I got a job double my old salary.

I took 2 major vacations this year...one was charged, however was paid off right away...and the second I paid cash. It was money I had in savings...

Back when I was broke, I used to go camping a lot. It's not for everyone, but I loved being outside all the time, and it was a cheap way to travel. Then again, the years I did camping trips, gas was very low, so that helped too. I also took vacation time no matter what--a couple times I stayed home all week but planned day trips around the area.
I guess I always thought of vacation as time away from work, and a chance to do leisure activities I don't always have time to do. It didn't have to be a cruise or a trip overseas. If you look at it that way, it really doesn't have to be costly.

Just money that we save from our paychecks. We also own a timeshare that is paid off, so we trade that to have vacations for ourselves and our family.
