How do you get the money for them:
Do you save for awhile, use tax money, charge???

I wouldnt say it was from savings.... its just from our paychecks  Traveling and Vacations are a priority for both of us, so that's where most of our disposable income goes to.

yup! same here! we don't specifically have a "Vacation fund"... its just from our paychecks and "regular" savings we have. we just like to spend money on that rather than other stuff. theres things in our house that i definitely want to remodel and update, but my thought is that when i'm 80, i'd rather say "boy, i'm glad i got to kayaking and snorkeling in hawaii" than say "boy, i'm glad we got all those stainless steel appliances 60 years ago."
we usually travel pretty cheap though- my parents have a beach house down in the outer banks in NC, so the passed few summers we've gone there... we went to germany last year while a friend was living there so we got to stay with him and saved $$ on a hotel.... last year we went to maine for a long weekend and used DHs hotel points to get a couple of the nights free... this year we went to hawaii and that was the "biggest" vacaton we've had in a few years, but even that we didnt' specifically save for- we had the money in savings and just decided to go for it.

We charge it but pay off right away for the points. We used to use our tax money, but this year we didn't have to because we had enough in our checking from our paychecks to pay for all our vacations.

Us too.
We also own a timeshare which forces us to schedule a vacation each year.
Our main credit card earns us hotel rewards as well so we don't usually pay for lodging when we go away.

We don't specifically save for vacations. As others have mentioned, the money used to pay for vacations just comes from our paychecks.

We usually charge it on a points card & pay it right away but I sell stuff on ebay, craigslist or the consignment shop, have a yard sale, cash in change, I've worked part time extra jobs, DH has worked overtime or done sidejobs and other stuff like that to cover it.
If we don't "have it", we don't go.

ITA. We get a ton of vacation time.. so a few months in advance we look for a deal and just book it. Then when we get back from a trip and are bummed that it's over, we just book another to make ourselves feel better

Vacation is important to us, we both have very stressful jobs so we make sure that we can go on at least 2 a year. We bought a house this year, but I refused to buy a house and not be able to afford to go away still so we made sure we could afford to do everything we wanted. I did not want to be "house poor" as they say.
We use bonus $, tax $, etc.. and book things in advance so by the time we go it's already paid for.
