Florida Residents-Quick Question not Fay related
We are going to Disney the first week of September, what should I expcet the weather to be? How hot??
And are you guys in school the week of the the 1st? or just off for labor day? trying to figure out crowds.

Not a Florida resident anymore,  but We went to Disney in the middle of September last year and it was SOOOOOOO FREAKIN HOT! The crowds aren't too bad then, but because of the free dining the restaurants are booked solid.

Usually it is hot about then with the usual thunderstorms in the afternoon. As for the kids and school they started or were supposed to start school yesterday and yes they are only off for labor day. I dont think you have to worry about the crowds as for everyone in the states will be going back to school around that time or preparing for school. But you will have the overseas tourists still. Have fun!!!

I don't think they are offering the free dining or at least not the 1st week of sept b/c I got every reservation i wanted for dinner last night and were less then 2 weeks away. Thank God!

Not a resident, but my parents live near Orlando.
It will be hot, though I might bring a light jacket for evening just in case the temperature drops a bit. You may not need it though, my parents are actually north of Orlando, so it's a little cooler where they are.

It will be really hot but make sure to bring rain gear - it could rain every afternoon.

no... you just were confused as to where this REALLY belonged. sorry but that's the truth. Give the moderators of the board some respect- they do a lot to keep LIF neat and in order and your comment was just plain rude

Actually I was told that threads ONLY get moved when people report them!!
which clearly shows me people have no life to sit around reporting threads so they are on the right board! please
And the reason Its not a travel thread is b/c its related to the weather (which there have been a million other posts about) and school! Just b/c someone responds about travel on that thread doesn't make it about that!
If you check my history you'd see for the most part I always post on the correct boards!!

I don't know, I think weather at a vacation destination could go to the travel forum.
Any ways...it's going to be really hot. In the past I have gone to Disney in the middle/end of Sept - hot & humid comes to mind. Expect some rain but it usually doesn't last too long. You could pick up those plastic ponchos at the $1 store to toss or you can buy them there.
