sorry if this is very personal but.....
what was everyones total closing cost...title closing, lawyer, morgage broker ect.......(not including the down payment for the house)

It really depends on many things - including the taxes of where you are moving towards, the amount you are financing, etc. Also, I live out east and they have something called the 'Peconic Fund'. You have to pay a 2% fee on the selling price. The proceeds go towards land conservation. So, our closing costs were around $19K.

You pay this at closing.. so basically, the way I look at it is to take your 'downpayment', subtract 20,000; and thats your REAL downpayment on the house!
Yeah... its scary and upsetting.

Without our Lawyers fee I was told $10,000 by our mortgage broker and I hope it isn't a penny more we really don't want to rob our saving account! AGAIN!
