Matzah ball soup quesiton
I made it today and added some chicken broth. The package however, came with a packet of seasoning, I guess and I added that, too. It came out salty so I cut it down with some more water.
My question is this.
Do you add BOTH broth and the seasoning?
Just the broth and toss the packet of seasoning?
Just the packet of seasoning?

usually the packet and water.... but if i was using chicken broth i liked, i would probably toss the packet. did you use low sodium chicken broth?
the broth probably had salt in it, and then adding the packet probably was too much.
id say use one or the other

I do it just the way the box says to. Water and the seasoning packet, it always comes out good. I've found maneschevitz to be the best box mix

The Manishewitz is the best one. I also add carrots, some dill, parsley. Sometimes I get the soup greens already made up and add that. I agree add more water, and next time use one or the other- but not both- We tried another mix probably the one you used and it was way too salty! HTH
