Cingular Stinks!
anyone have cingular and have a LOW bill?
We always had Nextel, bill was the same every month, stupidest thing we did was change. We thought Nextel was too much. Bill was $150 a month.
My cingular bills range from $192 ( the lowest) to $650 !!! 
We keep switching plans, etc and the bills keep getting higher, and I cant figure it out!
THE WINNER is today my phones got shut off!!! My mom tells me this just now, I call , sure enough..so I call them, and they said the bill was due on the 3rd! Ok, its only the 9th..no warning, no nothing?
With all that was going on, family being sick, me being sick , I totally forgot. I had the money, just forgot! A $36 reconnection fee NOW 
I mean it was my own stupid fault sure..but shouldnt a company have a grace period, or send something out when your late?? Just a little courtesy!

That totally stinks! My DH and I have Nextel and we have a shared minute plan. Our bill every month is about 80 dollars.

IM so going back to nextel!! As soon as Our contract is up!
we dont have a house phone so our bill is a little higher, but this is nuts!

I have nextel and a while ago I was going to change but I feel the service has gotten better. One of my friends has cingular and it is the worst. Constantly going in and out. Dropped calls. ugh!

We dont know WHAT we are doing wrong..lol
Some people say really good things about them, thats why we switched.
I also get a TON of dropped calls..AT least 2-3 a day!

thast realllly strange! that sux.
i dont know, i know me and kevin talk to eahc other for free and we have a zillion rollover minutes. i always have full bars too.
we just rejoined for another 2 years we love it so much. our bill is always $100

My husbands ohone just got turned off too.. we switched from At&T and what a mistake OUR BILL IS SO HIGH>>> I dont understand its never the same. I am SERIOUSLY thinking of eating the disconnection fee since I still have over a year left on the contract. I HATE CINGULAiR

Do you know what the disconnection cost is, I am thinking of doing the same thing. If its less then $200 I will...I mean I CANNOT pay these bills! And the service is not as good as I have had. I think they are better in the NYC area, but out on LI, it seems to stink. My mom has problems too.

Sorry you're having problems, for me they're the best service I've had yet. I have a family plan and its about $65 (including those ridiculous charges and taxes!)

We hate Cingular too and are planning on switching as soon as our contract is up in September. We always get dropped calls and never have good reception. Our bill however is always around $55/ month. I'm on the pay as you go plan, so I just recharge whenever I need it.

I emailed them , The cancellation fee ( early termination fee) is $20 for each month you have left on your contract.
we have 7 months left
thats $140 a PHONE...ugghh...guess we are sticking it out for a few more months...will probably cancel early when the times almost up.

i had att and then they were bought out our bill is 52.00 each month and we have a family plan 1000 minutes shared 500 between each other and unlimited nights and weekends. i dont want to change since the deal is so cheap.

I got Cingular (no more AT&T) because I was going to Egypt and they have international capabilities that Verizon does not. BUT...I was much happier with Verizon, even though neither has coverage at my home.
Work pays tho so I can't complain...
