Question about collecting unemployment
My company just fired someone who had barely been there 5 months. She was fired because she continuously made mistakes -- forgot to send out samples to buyers, didnt follow up on orders, etc. This is just a few of the MANY other issues they had with her. So can she collect unemployment being that she had been there less than 6 months?

Re: Question about collecting unemployment
Yes, the department of labor will send forms to your company and any other previous employers within the look back period.

Re: Question about collecting unemployment
Maybe you are thinking of the family medical leave act? According to the DOL website, you need to meet certain income requirements for the 2 quarters prior to applying for UI benefits.
