Whata good but not to$$ cut of steak

I really like steak but sometimes i buy bad cuts and sometimes i spend way to mmuch then i should . What cuts do you buy for everyday dinner not special occasions like adinner party or something

Flank steak is excellent if marinated and grilled properly and is very inexpensive comparing to other cuts.

My husband is spoiled... if we are just grilling it and not marinating it then it's rib eye or porterhouse. Both are super pricey- but I stock up on the $4.99/lb sales when I can.

A good soak in a decent marinade will generally make a lot of steaks fare better! A nice sirloin that is marinated and then grilled without over cooking is tender and tasty. But (here is where you will think I am a freak) - when I marinate steak I actually PREFER chuck steak. It is full of flavor and CHEAP - and the marinade breaks it down enough that it comes out tender too!

Top round london broil is an inexpensive cut that is good for everyday. I think I get it on sale for $3.99 a pound. I use McCormack's meat marinade mix with it for extra flavor.

You want to stay away from shoulder cuts - they are tougher.


Keep an eye out for sales and check costcos or bjs for better cuts...rib eyes, strip steaks, etc.

Skirts Steaks aren't that expensive and are super yummy marinated with McCormicks Grill mates and Grilled

I buy them at Meatfarms for 3.99 per pound.

Flank steak is great as well!
