Previcid, Protonix, etc....

Is there anything over the counter that works just as well?

My stomach issues have flared up and I used to take Previcid, but I don't feel like spending $50 on it right now.

I've been using OTC Prilosec for a few days not and have noticed a difference.

I love protonix, but currently my doc won't prescribe anything.

Protonix was the only thing that ever worked for me.

if you need to take something over the counter i would suggest prilosec or pepcid. i work in a GI office and a lot of our patients sometimes substitute their rx's for these drugs

I had a couple of Protonix left, took that, and now I'm taking Prilosec. I feel so much better - not perfect but about 80% better. I also cut out all coffee (I know it's the reason I'm getting this, along with anxiety), have been drinking cammomile tea and eating bland.

And the best part of it all - I lost 4 pounds of bloat!

I was asking the pharmacist about Prilosec and he said that soon most of the prescription meds for this (Prevacid, Protonix, etc) will be OTC.
