Thanksgiving Appetizers
Told ML that I would bring an appetizer to thanksgiving dinner, but not sure what to bring?
Anyone have any suggestions??

this isn't your typical appetizer but it's really good. I serve it with apple wedges and graham crackers:
pumpkin dip
1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 (15 ounce) can solid pack pumpkin
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, mix together instant vanilla pudding mix, pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. Fold in the thawed frozen whipped topping. Chill in the refrigerator until serving.

It is pretty sweet. I've always put it out as an appetizer to change things up a little bit. There's so much sweet stuff at thanksgiving dessert

Pigs in a blanket
Cheese and crackers
Veggies and dips
Fried mozz sandwiches
Potato puffs
Deviled eggs
Chips and dip
Shrimp cocktail
Bacon wrapped scallops or figs
Mini quiches
Marinated mozz balls
And tons more I am forgetting. We are only 9 people

We eat all day on Thanksgiving!  But that's because part of my family stays over the night before and the rest is usually at my house by 10:30-11:00 so they don't hit traffic coming from L.I.
I usually put out Bagels/Lox/Spread in the morning.
Apps during the day:
Nuts
pigs in the blanket (mostly for DH!)
Mushroom Canapes (recipie from Paula Deen)
Sometimes I do a bread bowl w/dip
I always put out a cheese platter with grapes/apples/assorted crackers
Chips/Dip
Veggie Platter
Hummus/Pita wedges.. also good with the veggies
