Hearing your heartbeat in your ear?
Has anyone ever had this problem? I'm not sure if it is actually my heart beat but it is a beating/swooshing sound in my right ear that I am hearing when I lay down to go to sleep at night. I had it once and a while for years and when i mentioned it to my Dr. she didn't seem concern but ever since having DS it happens MUCH more frequently - sometimes every night! Anyway, going to ask my Dr. about this at my next check up but figured id ask in case anyone has encountered this?

Wow really? That is the only cause of it? I only ask b/c I have never had high blood pressure - even when I noticed this in the past...but, haven't had a check up in a bit so maybe you are right! I will def. check it out.

Re: Hearing your heartbeat in your ear?
Or maybe you're having sinus issues, and its just pressure/fluid in your ears.
I have major sinus issues, and when I lay down it 'redistributes' the pressure and sometimes I'll get some throbbing noises.

Re: Hearing your heartbeat in your ear?
Sounds like sinus issues. Try taking a decongestant

Re: Hearing your heartbeat in your ear?
This usually happens to me when I'm sick (i.e., congested). Do you feel congested or feel a cold coming on?

Re: Hearing your heartbeat in your ear?
swishing noises might be sinus but if you're hearing the heart beat its high blood pressure most likely.
