update at bottom: Past Ectopic and a BFP

Well ladies, next month was going to be the month DH and I officially started TTC again after my ectopic and tube removal on August 1st. We were just feeling ready again. We went to the RE this past month and she did a sono and saw that I was ovulating on my RIGHT side which is the side I do not have a tube. There were NO signs of Ovulating on my left... So she said we can start trying next month since it is very unlikely I'd get pregnant this month since I was ovulating on the side with no tube.

THIS MORNING I TOOK TWO DIFFERENT PG TESTS (because I am a day late) and they both came out with BFPs!!!

I want so badly to be excited and let myself be happy, but I'm so afraid to get my hopes up because statistically, once you have one ectopic, the chances for another are good, unfortunately. If any of you have words that might help me, please share! Anyone that is willing to pray for us and for this pregnancy to be viable, we truly appreciate it!

I dont have any experience w/ ectopics. All i can say is GOOD LUCK and please keep us posted!!

It's not impossible to get pregnant if you ovulate from the side you have no tube. Sometimes the other tube can pick up the egg when it's released.

Well, I went to the doctor for my first HcG test today. They'll call me later with the results but I guess I won't know all that much until I go back Wednesday to verify that the numbers are doubling.

They don't want to do an actual sono until I'm about 6 weeks, which is around Nov. 30th.

The waiting is hard!

I too have had an ectopic. My docs have told me many, many times that the egg can float over.

Thanks all!

My hcg and progesterone numbers have been good so far, and my RE is doing an ultrasound tomorrow because I will be just about 5.5 weeks. She says all we want to see is at least a sac in the uterus for now so that we know it's not in the tube. I know it's early but I'm hoping to see a heartbeat as well. I've heard you can see one if your hcg is over a certain amount, which mine has been over. I'll let you know. Thanks for the support.

I have noticed some differences in this pregnancy from the last. I had a lot of what I thought were "bad gas pains" when I had my ectopic. In hindsight, those pains were probably signs of implantation in my tube. Hopefully this time is different, I certainly don't feel the same shooting pains. They were intermittant with the ectopic, but they were there.
