Tomorrow we say good bye to my Grandma's apartment

I feel like we are saying good bye to her all over again! We all loved her apartment so much. It is where my mom grew up and my brothers and I grew up there too in the sense that it was like our second home. I never want tomorrow to come

Makes it even worse that yesterday was the first major holiday without her on this Earth

I am sure your grandmother's apartment was like our family home - a nucleus for all family events. Now there is a "For Sale" sign in the front and I feel so detached.

It hurts all over again to say goodbye after the loss of a person. It is up to those of us who they leave behind to create new memories in new places and though its not easy, we have no choice. That's what our loved ones would have wanted.

i remember the first time ii went to see my parents. they lived right near my grandmother. it felt weird not going to visit her. it will be hard. your dh and family will help you through it. over time it will get better.
