Updated! I gave my notice!!!
So I did it. I got a little nervous and talked too much- and ended up telling the boss where I was going. (No big deal). But its done!! Woo hoo!! TWO WEEKS TO GO!

I think you can say a new opportunity came up that fits your needs better--is there anything else better about it (besides $, i.e. Location, Hours, etc.), you can use those. You can always just be vague and say it was a better fit for you....

I would say that you have been made an offer you can't refuse to hold a position that fully meets your personal and professional needs with an opportunity for growth that you cannot see your current firm matching. Let them know you are officially submitting your letter of resignation and that your two weeks is effective immediately. Thank them for the experience and all that you've learned while working with them and wish them the best. Congrats Shelly
