The holiday blahs

Anyone else have them?

I'm not depressed or even overly sad, but I am feeling pretty "blah" this year...it doesn't feel like December/Christmas normally do for me. I was due in Jan. & I feel like this should have been such an exciting & wonderful holiday for us, but instead it's been 6 months since my m/c and I'm still not pg I'm not really dwelling on my loss, but I am starting to wonder if this is ever going to happen for us... Sigh...let's just jump to Dec. 31st and end this year already!! New year = new beginning!

I actually posted something like this not too long ago.

I'm better now, bought a tree, putting up lights this weekend.

But I dont feel like its a big deal anymore (christmas).
Like you, I should have had a baby's first christmas, so it seems kinda lacking.

I look to my calendar and see get togethers this month that I was pregnant at last year. people kept asking me why i wasnt drinking, Im soo glad I never fessed up.


I would really like to think that I will have a baby to celebrate next christmas with. I hope the same for you too!!

i feel the same way i would have been due on jan 2nd so i def dont feel like celbrating this yr.. plus just having another miscarriage its just not merry christmas or happy new year for me.. im able to put on a happy face and do it but i really am dying inside

I thought that decorating would help to get me in the spirit & out of my funk, but it didn't Instead I'm trying to focus on New Years - we're going away for a week to see my brother (& niece!) in England. I'm pretty excited about that, so I'm trying to just focus on that... Bah humbug this year - there's always next year
