most of them have a minimum you have to spend. i.e. You have to spend $35 to use the $25 gift certificate. It doesn't include alcohol or gratuity. Some have even stricter restrictions "lunch only" "no weekends", etc.
I wish I knew how the business model worked. Is the restaurant just absorbing the rest of the $$, what is restaurant.com's cut, etc.
