i applied but havent heard anything. last year i found out the day that the scoring was scheduled to start! gotta love the city!

I applied and am not counting on it anymore. I heard a rumor that to cut costs the city will be employing out of classroom teachers during school hours to score the exam. They will also employ per session teachers but only about 300 compared to the 1,200 they hired last year.

My friend is an out of classroom teacher. She is going. Our principal had to send 5 teachers. Ahh..budget cuts!

we always send about 5 out of classroom teachers to score the ela. i did hear that they are cutting the number of per session hires tho.
i could really use the money!
eta: and im dying to see what the "right" answers were for day 2 and 3 of 4th grade.

DH did and hasn't heard.
I have also heard they are drastically cutting the amount of teachers this year. Principals will probably be sending AIS teachers and teachers in lower grades (non testing grades) to score as well

My school is sending teachers to go during the day- I heard that they are going to be gone for three weeks!
I didn't apply to score-but I have one friend who did and hasn't heard. Though now that she'll be scoring all day, I am not sure that she'll want to do the OT.
