Question about collecting unemployment...
If you get a part-time job, can you still collect a percentage of unemployment? How do they figure out what you would make?

Re: Question about collecting unemployment...
ive always had more then one job so when i got layed off i am claiming i work one day at my other job. so you can still collect 3/4 of your unemployment. from what i understand.
i think it depends on how many "days" you work at your p/t job.

Re: Question about collecting unemployment...
It's up to a certain amount of hours, so as long as you're under 30-35 hours, you can still claim it.

YOu can collect a percentage of it...but believe me, they will def take out a LARGE chunk. I know if I work 2 days..they take out 2/3 pay...So it honestly doesnt pay to get a PT job..unless its off the books of course

Re: Question about collecting unemployment...
Yes...but you can NOT work more than 3 days and they deduct 1/4 of your benefits for everyday you work. You also can't make more than $405. This is what happened to me. They would be deducting more than I would be making, so I decided not work p/t.
Rules make no sense. You think they would just deduct what you make.
