Can I ask an unemployment question.
after you have received benefits for your 26 weeks and you still have not found a job, what are the steps you take to get extended benefits? Do you have to re file a claim?

Re: Can I ask an unemployment question.
If you are worried about this year all unemployment benefits were extended until atleast December by Obama. It was part of the stimulus package he signed a month ago. So you don't have to worry about extending at all if don't find anything soon your covered until atleast then.

Yep.. just go online and keep filing and it will automatically extend you after your initial period is over. The current extension period is 11 weeks on top of regular unemployment.

Re: Can I ask an unemployment question.
Thanks for the replies.
I was a bit confused as you can see.
Does it update your $$$ allotment automatically as well?
i.e I have $10,000 allotted for the 26 week period. Let's say I already used $ 6$6,000 of it. When I use up all of my money it will automically refresh the amount to allot for the extension of benefits?
Sorry if I sound nuts.
