Imagine my suprise...
Yesterday, I was out at the local shopping center at around 1pm. I walked to CVS and then back to the grocery store, when I hear my name being called out. I turn around to see my SS and his GF exiting a resturaunt! I asked them what they were doing and SS turns around and says, "oh, we just got up and I wanted something to eat, so we came here". I was at that one ~ While I am out bargain shopping like a poorper (sp?) His 19 yr old unemployed butt, rolls out of bed at noon and takes his GF to lunch at a resturaunt?!?
Sorry, vent over

Re: Imagine my suprise...
Although SD is MUCH younger, it twists me up the same way to see me in my target shoes and her walking around in UGG boots.. i think to myself, she is going to outgrow those $100+ boots, or that closet full of GAP and designer clothes. She dresses better than FH and I do combined.

I could understand your frustration. I have seen my SD with Gucci bags, Coach bags, shoes from Dolce & Gabbana and DH hasn't bought himself a pair of shoes in about 3 years!

I look at FH's one pair of sneakers from 2.5 years ago and he doesnt ask for much, and its not that we cant afford to get him new stuff when he needs it, but its just so frustrating...
The only downside I really see to it, is BM is having another baby in a few weeks and SD who went for manicures and pedicures weekly since she is two - no longer goes (I am lucky if I can go once a month!) - and she saw my nails last week and was semi depressed that her nails were 'plain' (shes 5!) Its heartbreaking to see her so upset, but shes living the life of a real rich kid.
