For me. It started when the PG. I imagined myself wearing cute outfits and wearing heels until the end. Just like the magazines.
With DS:
- sleep deprivation. I imagined like partying in college. Yes but 100x worst.
- Even if I think I am organized. I do lose 10-15 minutes chasing after DS to put his shoes one (I am usually able to make him sit down for 1 shoe at a time!!).
- I feel I am moving half my house everytime I go out with DS.
- I cannot always look at people in the eyes while having a conversation.
I really thought I would get the kid in 2 seconds and drive anywhere, anytime.

I try to follow this quote "do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone. Do not be troubled by the future for it is yet to come.. Live in the present and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering" - Ida scott taylor
I never imagined that having a second child would be so hard. I never imagined having to live so far from any family and not having any control over it. I did IMAGINE that Dairy Barn would be in my life when I was a parent and its not :( I hate having to drag an almost 4 year old and a 1 year old out to pick up a container of milk because their is no one I can call to bring one home.
The war (s) gave me a huge reality check but I think basically with Motherhood I expected the worst and got the best in my children so no worries.
