what would you do re:job

i am posting under a fake name as alot of my coworkers are on here. i am a regular poster.

my dd currently attends the nursery program where i work. she has been having a lot of problems behaviorally in the class. today i get a call that she bit someone very badly, and in the course of the discussion the asst director suggested i keep her home with me on my day off (i work sun-thur and she goes mon-fri).

i got very upset b/s i hate working on sundays. i never see my family as a whole. my dh works super late most days. my house is a mess and they only time i have to food shop, clean etc is on fridays when she is at school. way to make me feel even more guilty.

i have no faith in this school anymore and it sucks b/c i work there. there have been other incidences that have been piling up and i am just fed up.

now, i am grateful that i have job. but i really want to fins a new job, and a new program for dd.

with the layoffs and jobless rates, i am crazy? i want to do whats right for my dd, and this program is not it. but i am also so unhappy with my job, my hours, the lack of flexibilty etc.

i dont know what the answer is, but i just needed to vent. if you are still reading this, thank you.

but don't quit until you find one! its good that you have fridays off - even though thats your errand day - you'll need to use it for interviews in the upcoming months. good luck
