Work Out Question

I started going back to the gym in the morning, because if I didn't I would've never gone back, since I find every excuse not to go after work.

That being said, I only have about 40 min. to get my workout in. How can I maximize my workout? What can I do to maximize my workout??

Any suggestions?

i would do cardio everyday and light weight training every other! it's good to get your heart rate up in the am...and it makes you feel more awake

Cross training. Bursts of cardio & then strength training but when doing teh strength work out 2 seperate muscle goups at teh same time. Like Squats with an anterior raise or dumbell press. Etc.

I only do 30 min on the elliptical trainer, and that helped me lose some major weight.

if you are pressed for time you can do 30 min of cardio and 10 min of weights per day. Just break the weights into body parts into 3 days (back and biceps) (chest adn triceps) (legs).

thankyou! I hope all my hard work paid off! lol ..It took forever to get my stomach the way it is..about a full year of crazy hard core working out

I wish I had 40 minutes to work out before work! I have to leave at 7 to be at work on time- since my gym opens at 5:30, there would be no way to get there with enough time to get back home and shower in time.

No not normally, although hmm at 5:30am the streets would be pretty bare. Hmm maybe I'll give it a try! Thanks for the idea, I didn't even think about that because normally the parking is impossible around there, but maybe at that hour it would be ok.

I've just started working out but I feel like I get the best workout when I mix cardio up with intervals. Like I mix up speed intervals with increased resistance or incline.
