Pain after D&C
THis is my second one and I don't remember this kind of pain from the first one. Its not cramps....but a nagging dull ache down there. It is now Friday, and I had this done Tuesday. I'm worried.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm only bleeding lightly....but the pain feels like a dull, stabbing pain. I'm worried.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling great - I would call the doctor and let them know. I didn't have any cramping/pain beyond the next day.
I'm sure it's nothing - but it couldn't hurt to get checked out. Feel better!

same here. The day after I had some mild discomfort but after that I didnt feel a thing.

I had dull pain for a few days, but had pain meds and it was nothing to be alarmed about. I would call dr.

I'm only just seeing this now so I hope by now you have either gone to the doc or that you're not in pain anymore.
I just want to tell you about my experience because no one warned me about what I could expect if an infection occurred and I could have reacted much faster if I had known. I had a horrible infection after my d&c. It started with dull pain - definitely not cramp-like as they said I could expect. However, it got much much worse very quickly as time went on. I ended up having what i now know were contractions plus the pain of the infection. I don't know if infections can come in varying 'extremes', but if you have an infection like I did, you will have bad pain that doesn't feel anything like your period, you probably won't be able to sit up, walk or do anything without someone lifting or helping you, plus probably a fever (sweats/chills, all that good stuff). If this happens, call your doc or go straight to the hospital (thats what I did, my doc just told me to go straight there and I was admitted, they gave me IV antibiotics and pain killers and I was out in 24 hours).
I hope you're feeling better and that you don't have to go through this too.

i had pretty decent cramps for the first few days...if you're worried I would give the doc a call
