would you go on the interview?
I teach in the city and looking to get a job in westchester or CT. I will only accept a perm position. Would you bother going on an interview at a really good school district even if u wouldnt accept it because it's a one year leave? Pros? Cons? What would you do? I should repeat that I def. would not take a leave.

Re: would you go on the interview?
i would probably go on the interview anyway, even if you feel you wouldn't take the job. they may really like you and have other more permanent positions available. an interview is not a contract, you're not bound to anything. i would go for the experience and getting my name out.

Re: would you go on the interview?
I would definltely go. One year leaves can turn into permanent positions. Also, I think the way the job market is today, people shouldn't turn down interviews. There are a lot of people getting excessed in various districts.

Re: would you go on the interview?
I would go - for practice at the very least.
someone by me left NYC for a 1 year leave replacement in my SD, she said NYC gives her a year and a day to take back the resignation...unfortunately she has to go back, but it could have worked out really well and she really isn't any worse off.
