Now my school has the swine
Just confirmed today.
From what I heard, the department of health is not advising school closings anymore so I don't think we are closing.
I feel sick right now, I know its not the swine, but I gwt so freaked out, I was just looking up early symptoms of the swine flu. I really am out of control.
I am probably calling in sick tomorrow anyway, considering it is 2:43 in the am and I haven't slept yet since I feel so crappy, wonder if a lot of students will be out.

 Feel better!!
I saw some students leaving my school sick yesterday and it made me feel a little uncomfortable too! It's scary!
The important thing to remember is most people who have been getting the swine flu have had mild cases and recovered!
ETA: Just found out it's in MY building now too!!!!!

I had to send 5 kids today to the nurse because they all complained that their head hurt. Yesterday I had a girl in my class with 102.6 fever. im HOPING its not the swine flu....

I'm on maternity leave now but I heard that there are confirmed cases in my school....however, there needs to be at least 100 kids absent for the school to close.

ughh I am really starting to freak out.
We officially have 1 confirmed case .. although who knows how many there are that just aren't confirmed yet!
On my grade, one of the teachers was out and 10 students from the class was also out. Summer just CANNOT come soon enough!

I just wanted to say that my school and 390 kids out ... and over 300 kids out every single day last week! We sent home over 50 kids with fevers, etc. 25 staff members were out with flu like systems ... and our school was NOT closed!!!
I myself had a fever, cough, everything! It was the worst week and I had to miss 2 days of school because I literally couldnt move!

My school district has had a few confirmed cases but we have no intentions of closing. Honestly, just keep hand sanitizer available in your room and lots of tissues.
It's almost over. Don't worry too much.
