Re: thank you note after an interview ?
The ones I sent out went more or less like this (with a few modifications depending upon who was at the interview and things we discussed.)
Dear [insert name]:
I would like to thank you for the opportunity to interview with your staff on [insert date]. I enjoyed meeting them and learning more about the opening in [insert specialization] for 2008-2009.
After meeting with your staff, I continue to be interested in this potential opportunity. I believe that I would be a strong educator in your district and I can see that I would be working with a collaborative, caring, and creative staff.
My educational and teaching experiences would make me a good fit for the [insert specialization] teacher position. In addition to my enthusiasm, I will bring my ability to establish rapport with students, strong classroom management skills, and a strong work ethic to this position.
I am eager to meet with you and your staff during any subsequent interviews. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Please feel free to contact me at xxx-xxx-xxxx or through email: [email protected]. Thank you again for the interview opportunity.
Sincerely,

Re: thank you note after an interview ?
i would also try to put things in that you learned about the district or school during your interview... workign with a particular population, programs at the school, staff you would work with, etc. you have to personalize it. you don't want it to sound so generic, JMO
