CITE Classes for Teachers

I was wondering if anyone has ever taken a CITE Class. I don't know anyone who has.

I just wanted to know how the classes run, do they give a ot of work, do they keep you the whole time, and do they start on time?

Any information would be really helpful. I just want to know what I am in for.

I took two years ago for special ed credits. The work load was more then I thought it would be, but manageable. We also had a small group presentation we had to do.

I got my Masters through CITE. The classes were much easier than what I was expecting. If you take them over a series of weeks they are more work than the 1 week classes that are from Monday to Friday (those are great). You do write short papers and do group projects but IMO they were a breeze for Masters level classes. As far as the hours they depend on the professor. The classes are sometimes at satellite locations and sometimes on campus (I did mine at Touro in the city). You a more likely to get out early if you are not on campus. The newer professors are usually more strict about the rules.

I got my admin. cert. through CITE and felt prepared..the work was moderate, but I took it one day a week on the weekends and it was FULL days...not bad for a year, though, and neither was the cost...FM with questions, if you'd like...

I got my gifted certificate through CITE. The classes weren't too bad. In my experience, they always kept us the full time, but they let us work on projects and assignments during class time, so there wasn't a ton of work to do on your own time. I took weekend classes, and it was tough sitting there all day, but the classes were over in 5 weeks which was awesome.

Ditto except I did them over a full week.
