Neurologist recommendation
I need to find a new neurologist for my father.
He suffered a stroke in 1997 and needs a carodit artery scan and exam every year.
The neurology practice that is recommended by his primary physician is not an option. They were the ones who saw him in the emergency room (I wasn't there) and... long story but I do not think they did all they could for him at the time.
Oh, Nassau or Western Suffolk if possible.

I use South Shore Neurologic in Bay Shore. Dr. Gudesblatt is wonderful and came very highly recommended to me for my needs (chronic migraines). He is difficult to get an appointment with, but it worth the wait in my opinion.

My husband has been seeing Dr. Kessler in New Hyde Park for a rare type of chronic headache. He's the founder of the practice (and the oldest dr. there). I believe all the drs. there are excellent.

I see Dr. Gudesblatt as well. I love him but it is difficult to get an appointment if you are a new patient.

I use Beatrice Engstrand in Huntington. It's not easy to get an appointment with her b/c of her prominence (she was the Central Park jogger's neurologist) but she's awesome!!

I used him when I was younger and he was excellent.
Now that I live in Nassau I use LKBN Neurology in Lynbrook. Dr. Behar.
