Changing Name on Teaching Certificates
Does this have to be done and if so how do I go about doing this? TIA!

I never changed it on the certificate...... I just don't think it's necessary. I don't think the certificates are used for much other than just so the school who hires you can make sure you are certified. I could be wrong here, but that's all mine were used for!
But if you are part of the DOE, you must change it with them so your pay checks, insurance cards, etc. are all in your new name!

I never changed mine.
I was already teaching for 8 years in my district when I got married.
Part of me would have loved to move to a district closer to home but at that point I was just to expensive as a new hire so I didn't bother.

I work for the DOE and never changed mine but all my checks, insunace cards ect are in my married name.

I never changed mine and have worked at 2 different schools since being married. I wouldn't worry about it.

yes, they are. i didn't realize this and did change the name on it. it cost me $25.00 and right on it, it says DUPLICATE, so totally not necessary.
